Government Affairs-Maryland always customizes its services to suit the needs of the client, but typically provides among its many services, the following:

• Developing a comprehensive pre-session strategy and approach to address client's concerns. Such approach includes issue analysis and positioning, legislator and committee-specific targeting.
  
• Working with the client to direct the collection of necessary data and information and using such data to formulate arguments essential to communicate effectively with legislators and administrators.
  
• Coordinating coalition activities to build consensus among various industry advocates to present a unified and coordinated presentation and organization.
  
• Communicating with representatives of the client organizations on a periodic basis (not less than weekly during the Legislative Session) on the status of issues being addressed.
  
• Working with committees and legislators to draft legislation.
  
• Assisting in the preparation of testimony.
  
• Preparing witnesses for testimony before legislative committees.
  
• Testifying and coordinating the testimony of witnesses before legislative committees.
  
• Arranging, coordinating and orchestrating meetings between Legislative Leadership and clients.
  
• Planning, inviting Legislators and coordinating small group meetings between selected legislative committee members and clients.
  
• Meeting with the Governor and other representatives of the Executive Department to discuss issues of importance to clients.
  
• Implementing and coordinating any and all grassroots efforts as sanctioned by the client.
  
• With the help of a Maryland area press expert contracted on an "as needed" basis, generating any necessary editorials or articles on pending legislation.

Independent press consultants would also be available to consult with the client on press relations in particularly sensitive legislative areas to ensure the message stays clear and consistent.
